You are an athlete. Your training is intended to improve your ability to compete and excel. Regardless of whether you are amateur or elite, you need some coaching to help fuel your body for success.
Your current injury has altered your activity level and you want to make sure you are fueling your body appropriately given the changes. Or perhaps you have a recurring injury from training that indicates a need for better recovery from exercise. If you are a distance runner that has suffered from bone stress injuries or hormonal fluctuations in season you may want to consider this route.
You are busy juggling life, work, family, and a ton of other obligations. Or you need help knowing how to craft healthy meals and grocery shopping lists. If either of these describe you then you will find this option very helpful.
Are you trying to influence the culture at your company or organization? Invest in your team by having our performance nutritionists speak to your group or provide 1 on 1 consultations to enhance their health and wellbeing. The principles of sound nutrition apply whether the performance you are seeking is in the office or on the field.
Sarah is a Registered Dietitian who has always had a passion for helping others feel better about themselves. She decided early on that she wanted to dedicate her career to helping people improve their sense of self and wellbeing through nutrition. She graduated from Oregon State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, and went on to complete her Dietetic Internship at Oregon Health and Science University and became a Registered Dietitian in 2012. Sarah has experience in group education as well as one-on-one coaching and counseling. She brings to the team over 10 years experience in medical nutrition therapy, helping people manage acute and chronic disease with dietary modifications and works with individuals in every stage of life, from infancy to older age.
She also has experience working in pediatrics, eating disorders and disordered eating behaviors. Her compassionate nature fuels her career in not only educating but also encouraging and supporting people throughout the process of diet and lifestyle change. Sarah believes that confidence comes from within and strives to help others feel empowered in their ability to make change. She looks at the whole person and takes a non-diet approach, working closely with people to help them learn what kind of nourishment their bodies need to achieve their mental, emotional and physical goals while developing a lasting, healthy relationship with food. Sarah thinks that food should be seen both as something to be enjoyed as well as fuel for the body.
As an avid equestrian, Sarah understands how food affects mental and physical performance and works with equestrians and other athletes to enhance their performance outcomes. Outside of work you can find this PNW native riding her horse, hiking, running, traveling and exploring new restaurants.
